YouTube now supports podcast distribution through RSS feeds, making it easier for podcasters to automatically publish audio episodes on YouTube without manually uploading each episode. This guide walks you through how to distribute your podcast to YouTube using your RSS feed.
Step 1: Log in to YouTube Studio
- Go to YouTube Studio
- Log in using the Google account associated with your YouTube channel
Step 2: Create or Select a Podcast
- In YouTube Studio, navigate to Create → New Podcast (or Podcasts, if visible)
- Choose Submit RSS feed when prompted
If you already have a podcast on YouTube, you can add a new RSS feed to it instead of creating a new one.
Step 3: Paste Your Podcast RSS Feed
- Copy your podcast RSS feed URL from your hosting platform
- Paste the RSS feed URL into YouTube’s RSS submission field
- Click Next to validate the feed
YouTube will scan your feed and display:
- Podcast title
- Podcast artwork
- List of episodes
Step 4: Review & Confirm Details
- Review how your podcast name, description, and artwork appear
- Confirm episode ordering
- Select visibility settings (Public / Private)
Once confirmed, submit the feed. Allow 24–72 hours for ingestion
What Happens After Submission
YouTube will automatically:
- Create a podcast playlist
- Convert each audio episode into a video
- Publish new episodes automatically when they appear in your RSS feed
Existing episodes may take a few hours to a few days to fully ingest. Future episodes will be published automatically, no manual uploads required
